It is the day that we celebrate the fact that Christ came to bring salvation to the Gentiles as well as to the Jews. The Feast Day of Saint Stephen, The First Martyr is December 26th. His behavior, even forgiving those who were taking his life while he was being stoned to death, was a beautiful reflection of how conformed he truly was to the Lord Jesus Christ.
On Thursday, December 31st, 2020 from 7:00AM to 6:00PM, Saint Boniface will hold New Year's Eve Holy Hour Adoration. During this time period in our Church, the Holy Eucharist is held in a Monstrance making it visible for adoration. This Holy Hour Adoration is meant to give each one who participates, a quiet moment with the Lord.
On December 27th, the Sunday after Christmas, we continue the joy of the Christmas Season as we celebrate the Feast of The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The Nativity of the Lord is December 25th. More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus was born to fulfill a mission: to save us from sin and death by his death and resurrection.
As of 12/23/20, all those who had submitted a sign-up form for a seat assignment for the Christmas Masses, have been contacted either by email, phone call or voice message. If you had submitted a sign-up form and have not been contacted with a seat assignment (we apologize that is our error), our ushers will have your name and seat assignment at the entrance.
During this season, we celebrate the birth of Christ into our world and into our hearts, and reflect on the gift of salvation that is born with him. The Christmas Season is celebrated from the evening of December 24th, 2020 through January 10th, 2021. Catholics celebrate Christmas as a season and not just one day.
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is celebrated on December 12th and celebrates the Blessed Virgin Mary who is associated with a series of five Marian apparitions in December 1531, and a venerated image on a cloak enshrined within the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
